IT security

• Implementation and maintenance of security policies, firewalls, virus protection and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Conducting security audits, vulnerability analyses and penetration tests
• Network security monitoring and security incident analysis
• Establishment and implementation of password and user management, including allocation, enforcement, and review of user rights
• Documentation and training of employees on IT security

Hardware management

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, clients, network components, printers, and mobile devices (e.g., printers, scanners, smartphones, tablets, projectors, screens, TVs)
• Management of spare parts, warranty and maintenance cases
• Proper commissioning of network connections, WLAN functions and the entire company network
• Planning hardware upgrades and lifecycle management

Software management

• Installation, configuration and updating of operating systems, office applications and industry-specific software
• Implementation of patch management
• Independently initiate program optimizations
• License management and software compliance
• Support for cloud services (e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure)

Administration & Operations

• Active change management
• Validation and further development of intuitive system processes together with other specialist departments

Technically:

• Completed training as an IT specialist for system integration or comparable qualification
• First professional experience in the IT infrastructure environment
• In-depth knowledge of network architectures (LAN, WLAN, VPN) and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Good knowledge of IT security standards (ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz)
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and modern IT management tools

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports

Business Intelligence & Data Management

• Support and further development of BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
• Automation of reports and dashboards
• Data modeling and ensuring data quality
• Interface optimization between ERP and BI systems
• Independent derivation of optimization potentials and their internal implementation

Project management

• Conception and implementation of company-wide improvement projects
• Creation of the associated project management documents and control tools
• Project management and control of all parties involved with appropriate decision-making authority

Process optimization & digitalization

• Analysis and optimization of business processes
• Implementation of digital solutions for controlling and reporting, including production, purchasing and cross-company processes
• Close collaboration with the IT department to integrate new tools

• Several years of experience in controlling and confident handling of financial key figures
• Very good knowledge of BI tools, ERP systems and data analysis
